Teaching Handwriting 
 
At Purford Green we follow a handwriting scheme called ‘Teach Handwriting’  
In Reception, children start to learn to write letters in a cursive script. For more information on how letters are formed and written at this early stage go to https://www.teachhandwriting.co.uk/cursive-letters-beginners-choice-4.html  

Towards the end of Reception, children move towards the continuous cursive script. Please visit www.teachhandwriting.co.uk and select ‘Letters’ in the tab at the top of the page and ‘continuous cursive beginners’ There are 4 different letter choices. Our school choice is Letter Choice 4.
